Exercise Physiologists use exercise to prevent, manage and treat a variety of complex or chronic conditions and injuries, including musculoskeletal conditions, metabolic disorders, mental health and more. We offer a FREE assessment before joining any class to ensure the program is tailored to your unique needs. We will take into account your cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, musculoskeletal and mental health.
Designed for clients who are pre-diabetic or have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Benefits of the class include; improved insulin sensitivity, weight loss, decreased blood glucose levels, improved metabolic control, reduced risk of co-morbidities such as hypertension, CVD or stroke, and improvements in mental and social well-being. This class is designed to benefit anyone concerned with weak bones. It aims to help reduce the risk of falls, maintain or improve muscular strength, improve balance and propiroception, maintain function for daily activities and reduce progression of disease or injury. It is particularly beneficial for clients with any of the following;
- Osteopenia or osteoporosis
- A history of falls
- Mild/moderate falls risk
- A family history of osteoporosis
- Sedentary lifestyle
- Poor balance
