Annissa Harwood

Bsc Physiotherapy (Hons)

Annissa graduated from Curtin University with First Class Honours and has been working at Leederville Physiotherapy also.
Experiencing the world of ballet from the age of 3 (both dancing and teaching), gave Annissa a passion for movement analysis and education. This lead to her completing the Honours program in her final years of study, conducting a study based on jumping and landing technique analysis in girls who play a variety of sports.
Annissa has worked for the East Fremantle football club as well as with the Hale School football program, fostering her interest in adolescents and sports.
Most recently Annissa’s love for movement has seen her completing her Matwork Pilates training through the APPI.
Annissa uses her eye for detail to help retrain unhelpful movement patterns and incorporates manual therapies, dry needling and exercise rehabilitation. Combining these with a strong focus on communication. She believes that ensuring the client has an understanding of their movement patterns and the reasoning behind her treatment plan is the most efficient way of getting clients to their goals.
Annissa loves to help the young and older clients and if sports or physical work is part of your weekly routine, she is the person to see.

When not at work you will find Annissa at whatever dance class she can get her hands on.

If you live in Jandakot, South Lake, Piara Waters, Harrisdale, Banjup or Bibra Lake, Annissa is worth driving to.
